Cayman to compete in 3 x 3 Basketball at ASU 2025
This is how 3×3 Basketball will be played at ASU 2025

The competition will have the participation of 12 men’s teams and an equal number of women’s teams. There will be a group stage and then direct elimination playoffs. The grand final is scheduled for August 17.
All the excitement and adrenaline of 3×3 Basketball will be played at Asunción’s Olympic Park from August 15 to 17.
This sport, which is gaining more and more followers, will be disputed in both men and women, with 12 teams for each gender.
The competition will be divided into 4 groups of 3 teams, which will fight to be among the first two in each group, in order to advance to the quarterfinals.
The groups were drawn as follows:
MEN:
Group A: Chile, Trinidad and Tobago and Ecuador.
Group B: Argentina, El Salvador and Dominican Republic.
Group C: Puerto Rico, Brazil and Canada
Group D: Cayman Islands, Mexico and Paraguay.
WOMEN:
Group A: Chile, Ecuador and El Salvador
Group B: Argentina, Brazil and Uruguay
Group C: Mexico, Costa Rica and Paraguay.
Group D: Puerto Rico, Canada and Guatemala.
It should be noted that this is the second time that a 3×3 Basketball competition will take place in the Junior Pan American Games. In its first edition. In Cali, the United States teams won both the men’s and women’s tournaments, with silver for Colombia and bronze for Chile in the women’s category, and silver for Argentina and bronze for the Dominican Republic in the men’s category.
