Cayman Restaurant Month Returns with Record Number of Participating Eateries

Restaurant Month (RM) returns for its 12th year in October with a record number of restaurants participating in the culinary celebration.

From 1 to 31 October, diners can enjoy three-course lunches priced between $20 and $30 and dinners between $30 and $50 plus service charge at almost 60 restaurants. Food trucks and smaller fast-casual eateries are also getting involved, and their specials will be highlighted throughout the month as well, ensuring Restaurant Month includes Cayman’s full culinary landscape.

“Restaurant Month is one of the Cayman Islands Tourism Association’s most important initiatives for supporting our restaurant industry,” said Sharlene Brenkus, CITA President. “October is traditionally a quieter time for dining out, and this programme helps drive much-needed traffic to our members while giving residents and visitors the chance to experience Cayman’s incredible culinary talent at an exceptional value. By supporting Restaurant Month, members of the public are not only enjoying great food but they’re helping sustain the vibrant dining scene that makes Cayman the culinary capital of the Caribbean.”

A new element this year is the “Dine Around and Win” digital passport promotion where Restaurant Month patrons can use an online portal to enter to win various prizes – including airline tickets courtesy of Cayman Airways – just by visiting participating restaurants. Users increase their chances of winning with each visit they make to a restaurant.

In addition, each Sunday, brunch lovers can indulge in one of RM’s signature brunches that will take place across the island. This year sees the introduction of two brunches each Sunday – one on the eastern side of the island and the other in the George Town/Seven Mile Beach area. Participating brunch hosts are KARoo and La Casita (5 October); Catalina at Hotel Indigo and Aria (12 October); Lobster Pot and David’s Restaurant at Morritt’s Resort (19 October); and Anchor & Den and Tides at Wyndham Reef Resort (26 October).

Restaurant Month is sponsored by Cayman National Bank, CMR TV, Stingray Media, Cayman Good Taste, Cayman Airways, Compass Media, Ministry of Financial Services & Commerce, Kelly Holding Events & Communications, Cayman Islands Department of Tourism and CG BritCay.
