Cayman: Recovery of Suspect Vessel on Shore in the Prospect Area

From Customs and Border Control

On Friday, 30 May 2025, officials from the Cayman Islands Customs & Border Control Service (CBC) received a report regarding a possible migrant vessel in the Prospect area of Grand Cayman.

CBC is currently investigating the matter and would like to remind the public that it is an offence to assist persons to land or remain in the Cayman Islands illegally. Doing so is in contravention of the Customs and Border Control Act (2024 Revision) and is a crime punishable by a fine of up to CI$50,000.00 or to a term of imprisonment of up to seven (7) years, or both.

Members of the public are asked to come forward should they have any information about the suspect vessel or its occupants. For ease of convenience, suspicious activity can be reported via email at [email protected].
