Cayman: Police Investigate Robbery Incident at a Liquor License Premise in George Town

Just after 6 PM on Friday, 18 July, police attended a Liquor License premises located on Shedden Road in George Town in response to an incident of robbery.
It was reported that three men at the location approached a male victim, one of the men brandished a knife and demanded his jewellery. The victim was assaulted by the men, after which three gold coloured necklaces were stolen from him. The perpetrators subsequently left the location in a black vehicle before the arrival of the police.
The victim was assessed by the Emergency Medical Services, and his injuries were believed to have been non-life-threatening. No other persons reported injuries as a result of this incident.
Following initial inquiries into this matter, police arrested three men on suspicion of robbery in relative to this incident. The men, ages 31, 28, and 27, were all from the George Town District and remain in custody pending further investigations.
This incident is being investigated by the police, and detectives are encouraging anyone with information to call the George Town Police Station at 949-4222.
