Cayman: Police Investigate Armed Robbery in West Bay

Just before 10:30 PM on Friday, 5 December, police were dispatched by 9-1-1 Communication Centre to a report of an armed robbery that took place at a convenience store in the Mount Pleasant Road area of West Bay.
It was reported that a masked man entered the store with a machete and demanded cash. The man fled on foot from the location with the stolen money. No one was injured during this incident.
Officers attended the location and carried out searches in the surrounding areas for the man with negative results.
The incident is being investigated by the police, and detectives are encouraging anyone with information to call the West Bay Police Station at 949-3999.
