Just before 10 PM on Thursday 18 December, police were dispatched by the 9-1-1 Communication Centre to a commercial property located on Walkers Road, where it was reported that an armed robbery had taken place.

It was reported that a masked man entered the premises and brandished a machete and stole a quantity of cash, then fled the location on foot in an unknown direction. No injuries were reported as a result of this incident.

Police responded to the incident, and searches were carried out throughout the district with negative results. The investigation into this incident is ongoing, and detectives are seeking witnesses who may have seen the robbery take place or have pertinent information that may lead to the identification of the robber.
