Cayman: Ogier advises on first SFC-permitted tokenised entertainment investment fund in Hong Kong

Ogier has acted as Cayman Islands counsel to Esperanza Securities in connection with the launch of the first Securities and Futures Commission of Hong Kong (SFC)-permitted tokenised investment product for the live entertainment sector in Asia Pacific.

Ogier advised on the establishment of a Cayman Islands investment fund structure, managed by Esperanza Fintech (Securities) Limited, which issues investment interests represented by tokens enabling eligible investors to participate in live entertainment projects – including the Chris Wong 40th Anniversary Concert in Hong Kong and a major Korean boy band concert in Kuala Lumpur.

The project represents a significant step forward in the application of tokenisation within the real-world asset (RWA) investment space, providing a new model for capital raising and investor engagement in the entertainment industry.
