Cayman Islands Crises Centre (CICC) says “THANK YOU”
THANK YOU TO ALL OF OUR SPONSORS
We couldn’t have done it without you!
WE RAISED CI$50,000 AT THE 2012 JINGLE BELL WALK/RUN
The Jingle Bell Walk/Run is one of our major annual events, raising the funds necessary to support operations of the Centre, and raising awareness locally about the help and hope that is available to the victims of domestic violence through the Crisis Centre.
A SPECIAL THANK YOU
We couldn’t do what we do without the support of our many corporate and individual sponsors, and the participants at our even
ts. We want everyone to know what a difference you make.
Buy a sandwich or a pastry at any Paperman’s location (The Strand, MidTown Plaza or Fort Street) on Wednesday 27 or Thursday 28 March and see our special thank you printed on your lunch bag.
Thank you Paperman’s!
Domestic violence can happen to anyone, regardless of gender, ethnicity, religion, socio-economic background or any other factor. In essence, abuse is about the need of one person to control another.
Although violence is often involved in abuse, there are other forms of such control that do not overtly use violence, such as emotional and financial abuse. This sometimes makes it more difficult for a victim to identify the behaviour as abusive. Unfortunately this type of abuse often progresses and becomes physically violent. Everyone deserves the right to live a life free of violence.
