Thailand’s Anti-Money Laundering Office (AMLO) has seized a Cayman Islands-flagged luxury pleasure yacht, ATLAS (2017), valued at about 1.125 billion baht, saying it is linked to a major transnational scammer and call-centre money-laundering network.
AMLO said the move expands an ongoing crackdown in which assets worth more than 10.165 billion baht have already been frozen or seized.
The yacht is held under a temporary order for up to 90 days, with appeals allowed within 30 days of notice.
