Members of the beginners and under 12s on Sunday

These Karate Kids really did make the grade.

The Purple Dragon Karate School held their gradings over the weekend supervised by founder, Professor Don Jacob.

Professor Jacob visited Cayman to run the rule over the martial artists from advanced and adults through to beginners and under 12’s.

The karate expert and Purple Dragon founder will have been impressed from what he saw.

On Saturday at St Ignatius School was the advanced classes and adults taking part in their grading. And the following day at the same location it was the turn of the youngsters and beginners.

Don Jitsu Ryu is a rhythmic Caribbean System of Martial Arts that is practiced by thousands of students in Purple Dragon as well as in other schools associated with the Purple Dragon organisation around the world.

It is a Martial Arts system that creates the balance that the martial arts community needs to bring about the consciousness of a serious minded martial artist, career oriented with a sense of direction in life.

There are twenty branches of Purple Dragon in Trinidad and Tobago now, with more across the Caribbean (in Antigua, Dominica, Grenada, St Lucia, the Cayman Islands, and Tortola), and more in the United States, Canada, Ireland, Australia and England but Trinidad is still the school’s headquarters.
