Crisis Centre gets support from Rotary Sunrise

CICC DonationThe Cayman Islands Crisis Centre is a haven for women and their children who seek to create new violence-free lives. Without the Crisis Centre they may not have another place to turn. The centre provides the services that help clients make a healthy transition to a life free from violence by providing shelter and programmes that support the transition. Some of the programmes by the Centre include risk assessments, individual and group counseling, parenting, workshops and more. To provide these services to their clients the Crisis Centre relies on fundraising efforts and sponsorship from private organizations.

Recently, the Rotary Club of Grand Cayman Sunrise answered the call for help with a donation by the club’s Community Services committee for CI$1,000. Community Services Director, Finley Josephs, remarked “these funds will help with immediate needs for the Centre but Rotary Sunrise has plans to support with an additional project that will be revealed soon”.

Mrs. Ania Milanoswka-Sedgley the Executive Director for the Crisis Centre was available to accept the club’s donation on behalf of the Crisis Centre.
