Cayman Islands to host CASMET
The Cayman Islands will be hosting the Caribbean Association of Medical Technologists (CASMET) Regional Council Meeting on Friday, May 17, 2013 at 5:30pm at the Marriott Beach Resort, West Bay Road, Grand Cayman. The meeting will last until Sunday May 19th.
CASMET represents over 1,500 Medical Laboratory Professionals throughout the Caribbean, Central America, USA and the Dutch Antilles.
Attending the regional Council meeting will be representatives from USA, Trinidad, Jamaica, Guyana, Barbados, Grenada, St. Lucia, Bahamas and the Cayman Islands.
The meeting brings together 18-20 key delegates who represent Medical Laboratory Professionals from the Caribbean and the United States, as they meet to discuss and make plans for activities to improve the profession in the region, share information that will aid in improvement of diagnostic and therapeutic laboratory testing, and provide an opportunity for professional collaboration of Laboratory Professionals in the Cayman Islands, all of which will have a positive impact on overall patient care regionally and locally.
