Traffic Light issue – Bobby Thompson Way, George Town

The RCIPS is urging motorists to be extra cautious as they approach the traffic light controlled junction of Bobby Thompson Way and Smith Road.

The lights were out for a period of time this morning and police have been informed that the National Roads Authority has temporarily rectified the problem.

Motorists are reminded that if the lights go out again they should treat the junction as a four way stop.

The RCIPS will monitor the situation and, if there is a need, will deploy officers during peak times to manage the traffic flow.
