The man whose body was recovered following a search Sunday (10) evening in the North Sound has been named as  Marco Rankine. 

At approximately 7:15 pm Sun (10) the  Emergency Communication Center received a call of a male falling over board on a private motor boat in the North Sound.

10 rescue boats from RCIPS Marine Unit together with Department of Environment, Fire Department  and other private boat operators  launched a search and rescue operation in the North Sound.

Approximately 9:17pm marine unit  officers found and  recovered the body of a 21 year old  Newlands man near Booby Quay, who was transported to the George Town Hospital and pronounced dead.

Police  continuing with  inquiries into the circumstances of the incident’.
