UK Travel Advice Update (1 March) for Middle East Region

UK Travel Advice Update (Sunday, 1 March) for the Middle East, including UAE, Israel, Iran, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia

The safety and welfare of all British nationals across the Middle East is the UK’s top priority. The Foreign Office is working around the clock to respond to escalations in the region and support all British nationals affected.

For Caymanians and British Overseas Territory Citizens (BOTCs) impacted in the region, please continue to pay close attention to official UK travel advice, keep up to date with developments through local media, and follow instructions of the local authorities including, where relevant, to shelter in place.

The UK is launching ‘Register Your Presence’ for some countries in the region, starting with Bahrain, Israel, Palestine, Kuwait, Qatar and United Arab Emirates so that we can share important information on the situation.

Check your country’s page on www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice to see if FCDO registration applies. This list is not exhaustive, and it will be kept under review.

We also continue to advise all British nationals to stay informed by signing up to FCDO travel advice email alerts. Official UK country specific travel advice and guidance can be found at:
