Moderate to fresh northwest winds will persist as the pressure gradient tightens across the region. An unusually strong cold front is forecasted to move into the northwestern Caribbean tonight and merge with the remnants of the surface trough. Strong to near-gale northerly winds and rough seas are expected in the Cayman area in the wake of the passage of this front. A Marine Watch will be issued tonight and be upgraded to a Marine Warning on Sunday.
