Remember CCMI in this season of giving

From CCMI & Little Cayman Research Centre

Your #GivingTuesday donation will grow CCMI’s impact for coral reefs!

This year, we’re asking our supporters near and far to join together today on #GivingTuesdayand support CCMI’s amends to the NEW facility!

CCMI recently expanded! We now have a new 6,000 sq ft building next door to the Little Cayman Research Centre, which will serve as our new facility expansion! This new building DOUBLES our capacity to host visiting students, researchers, and citizen scientists, which will help us inspire the next generation of ocean stewards and grow our research programme at a critical time for coral reefs.

But we need YOUR help.

The new building needs some amends to convert and fit it out to become the fully functional space that we need! This will take some investment to change some of the existing structure to serve the purposes for which we envision its use: dorm-style rooms, classroom and study spaces, lecture facilities, and more.

Donate through this special Giving Tuesday effort and help CCMI create a world-class marine education and research space that will serve up to 800 students and researchers each year!

SUPPORT CCMI’s RESEARCH

Donate to CCMI’s Research

We all know the ocean is under immense pressure. Climate change, coral bleaching, over-exploitation, and disease outbreaks – and without immediate, science-based intervention, coral reefs face an uncertain future. There is hope — and you can be part of the solution

Due to recent funding and aid reductions from international universities and governments, your continued support is more vital than ever. Every contribution directly empowers CCMI to sustain critical research, education, and reef restoration efforts right here in the Cayman Islands.

SUPPORT CCMI’s RESEARCH

Donate to support education scholarships

CCMI’s education mission is to deliver immersive and transformative educational experiences that promote ocean stewardship, training the next generation of marine scientists and ocean conscious citizens.

CCMI provides experiential learning to students from around the world. Your donation will help us fund ~100 scholarships and internships we’ll offer students in 2026, most of which are awarded to locally based recipients.

While we are rapidly approaching climate tipping points and coral reefs are the forefront, we still have hope that things can change.

CCMI continues to lead ground-breaking research into coral resilience, adaptation, and restoration combined with ocean literacy and education programming to translate our research into action and inspire the public and next generation of environmental stewards. Help CCMI to LEARN. ADVOCATE. and ACT. Together, we can have a profound and far-reaching impact for the future of our ocean and coral reefs.

CCMI has been awarded the Candid Platinum Transparancy rating once again in 2025, a strong indicator of our professional management practice.

We have also received a Four-Star rating from Charity Navigator.
