Cayman Islands Chamber of Commerce Announces Upcoming Lunch & Learn: Building Inclusive Workplaces with Inclusion Cayman

The Cayman Islands Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce an upcoming Lunch & Learn session titled “Building Inclusive Workplaces,” taking place on Tuesday, 4 November 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Chamber Conference Room, Governor’s Square. Hosted in partnership with Inclusion Cayman, a local nonprofit dedicated to advocating for individuals with disabilities, this session will explore how businesses can foster inclusive employment practices and benefit from a more diverse workforce.

This eye-opening event will spotlight the Rotary Employment Partnership, a growing initiative that’s helping Cayman businesses create meaningful employment opportunities for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Attendees will hear from two dynamic presenters:

  • Delroy Watson, a seasoned mental health and social care professional with over 30 years of experience in the UK, now working in Cayman to support inclusive advocacy. His personal journey as a father and grandfather adds a deeply human perspective to his work.
  • Nathan Chesney, a Certified Professional in Accessibility Core Competencies (CPACC) with a Master’s in User Experience Design. Nathan’s mission is to co-create inclusive environments—both physical and digital—that empower individuals and transform communities.

What to Expect: Participants will gain insights into:

  • The normative pathway and inclusive alternatives
  • The business and societal benefits of inclusive hiring
  • Common employment barriers and how to overcome them
  • Intentional hiring practices that unlock underrepresented talent
  • Real-life success stories from Cayman businesses

The session will also offer a behind-the-scenes look at how the Rotary Employment Partnership operates, including the role of Inclusion Cayman facilitators and the ongoing support available to employers.

Why It Matters: Inclusive employment is more than a social good—it’s a smart business strategy. Companies that embrace diversity and accessibility benefit from:

  • Broader talent pools
  • Stronger team morale
  • Enhanced brand reputation
  • A workplace culture that reflects Cayman’s values of community and respect

Reserve Your Spot: Seats are limited. Whether you’re a business owner, HR professional, team leader, or community advocate, this session will leave you inspired and equipped to make inclusion part of your workplace culture.
