Cayman Member of Parliament Dwayne Seymour resigns from PPM

LETTER October 14, 2025

Dwayne Seymour, in a letter he wrote dated 7th October, has resigned from the People’s Progressive Movement (PPM). This has come as no surprise to us as Mr. Seymour seems to sway the way the wind blows. In fact, we in Bodden Town, are surprised it took him so long.

His decision, though, he explained, “was not made lightly. I have sought counsel from my family and my closest advisors from the Bodden Town East Constituency, and I have taken considerable time to reflect on it, weighing both my own principles and the responsibilities I owe to the people of my district and, indeed, the entire Cayman Islands,”

We, here in Bodden Town East, are very gratified that his commitment to his constituents remains “steadfast and true”, and that he “looks forward to maintaining a cooperative relationship with all members of Parliament.”

We, in Bodden Town will fully expect him to re-join the PPM if there was to be a “shake-up” and the present government, headed by Hon. Andre Ebank,s was to fall.

We will also examine his footwear when we meet up here to see if he is wearing “flip flops”.
