From Cayman National Choir & Orchestra

As dusk falls on October 31, trade trick-or-treating for an evening of elegance and artistry. The Cayman National Choir and Orchestra invite you to Twilight and Silhouettes — a concert celebrating the interplay of light and shadow, mystery and reflection, power and peace.
Under the batons of Alina Makhina (Orchestra Director) and Melody Gifford (Choir Director), this evocative program brings together timeless classics and contemporary gems that will stir the imagination.

Adagio from Symphony No. 2 – Sergei Rachmaninov
A lush and heartfelt movement, rich with sweeping melodies and deep emotion.

A radiant choral gem evoking the warmth and color of an autumn evening.

Inscription of Hope – Randall Stroope (with orchestra)
A moving setting of words found on a cellar wall in Nazi Germany — a message of faith and resilience.

Dies Irae – Mozart (with orchestra)
The powerful and familiar “Day of Wrath” movement from Mozart’s Requiem.

Sunrise, Sunset / Sabbath Prayer – arr. Mark Brymer
From Fiddler on the Roof, a heartfelt reflection on family, love, and the passage of time.

A lively, jazz-inspired take on the classic gospel favorite.

Nothing Gonna Stumble – Greg Gilpin
An energetic a cappella spiritual full of rhythm, spirit, and drive.
