Happy Birthday JOAN Our ‘Jo-Jo’ 91 NOT OUT TODAY 10 SEP

Joan with her beloved and sadly missed dog “Sugar”. A ‘few’ years ago
I don’t think any of you will mind me repeating Jo’s poem she wrote last year in time for her 90th birthday.
Even with dementia Joan wrote this a few weeks before her 90th birthday as an example that persons with this horrible illness are not just “cabbages” to pity and water occasionally.

THE WONDERS OF IT ALL
BY JOAN (WATLER) WILSON
WHAT A BEAUTIFUL MORNING
The sun is rising
And it’s not surprising
That I watch and wonder at it all.
WHAT A BEAUTIFUL MORNING
The air is so clear
And I have time to spare
To sit, and wonder at it all
WHAT A BEAUTIFUL MORNING
The sky is so blue
And the clouds are few
And I can only wonder at it all
WHAT A BEAUTIFUL MORNING
The birds are singing
Whilst I sit here thinking
Amazed, at the beauty of it all
WHAT A BEAUTIFUL MORNING
The flowers are all bloomimg
The bees are all humming
I’m in awe, at the wonder of it all
WHAT A BEAUTIFUL MORNING
To give praise and thanks giving
For God’s love and understanding
For the wonders of it all
WHAT A BEAUTIFUL MORNING
I can hear Church bells ringing
It must be Sunday morning
I can sing, pray and wonder at it all
WHAT A BEAUTIFUL MORNING
The sun is rising
And it’s not really surprising
I sit, and can only wonder at it all
God gave us the earth by His power
He formed the world by His wisdom
And The Heavens by his understanding
In awe, I only wonder at it all
He makes clouds that seem to rise
Then fall back to earth with rain,
Lightning and then thunder
Am I alone, in wondering at it all?
But, it is A BEAUTIFUL MORNING
Now, there is peace all around
There is hardly a sound
I can’t help but,….. WONDER AT IT ALL

JOAN outside her home in Bodden Town last year.
