The Royal Turks and Caicos Islands Police (RTCIPF) Police reported that around 12:20 a.m. on August 26, 2025, officers executed a search warrant at a property occupied by Jaheim Forbes, 19, a member of one of the 11 gangs operating in the Turks and Caicos Islands.

Forbes retreated to a back room upon their entry and opened fire at officers. Law enforcement returned fire, wounding Forbes. The police said despite attempts to provide medical assistance, Forbes was pronounced dead at the scene by a medical professional.

Forbes, was identified as a member of the Five Cays Blue Hills Organized Crime Group (OCG). He was the primary suspect in the July 27 quadruple homicide at the Hookah Lounge on Leeward Highway.

No officers were injured in the incident said the police.

Members of the RCIPS Cayman Islands are in TCI helping with the local police there.
