Cayman: Police Investigate Collision Involving Stolen Vehicles in Bodden Town

Shortly after 4:20AM on Friday, 15 August, officers responded to a report of a collision involving two vehicles at the intersection of Shamrock Road and Hirst Road. Police attended the location and observed that one vehicle, a silver Honda Civic, had left the roadway and collided with the wall of a plaza. The other vehicle, a black Honda Civic, had come to a stop in the roadway, crossing between two lanes. The occupants of both vehicles had fled the location prior to the arrival of the police.

The vehicles were recovered by police for processing, and it was later ascertained that both vehicles had been stolen.

The occupants of the vehicles are described as being males, possibly in their teens.

The matter is under investigation and police are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the collision, or the persons who fled the vehicles, to contact the Bodden Town Police Station at 947-2220.
