CABINET OF THE CAYMAN ISLANDS – POST MEETING SUMMARY- Wed July 16 2025

A meeting of the Cabinet was convened on Wednesday, 16th July, 2025 in the Cabinet Conference Room, Government Administration Building.

The Hon Premier acted as Minister for Finance and Economic Development and Hon Isaac Rankine acted
as Minister for Education and Training. All other Ministers and Members of Cabinet were present.

At this meeting Cabinet:
a) Approved the issuance of drafting instructions to amend the Non-Profit Organisations Act (2020
Revision) and any consequential amendments to other relevant legislation and commencement
orders if required;
b) Approved the issuance of drafting instructions to amend the Mutual Funds Act (2021 Revision) and
create Regulations under the Act and any consequential amendments to other relevant legislation
and commencement orders if required;
c) Approved pursuant to Schedule 3, section 1(3) of the Health Practice Act (2021 Revision) for the
appointment of Dr Irka Ebanks as a Member to the Council for Professions Allied with Medicine;
d) Reviewed and noted the Ministry of Education’s Financial Statements and Annual Report for the
year ended 31st December 2024 and authorised its tabling in Parliament;
e) Denied pursuant to section 90 of the Customs and Border Control Act (2024 Revision) 3 re-entry
requests;
f) Approved pursuant to section 5(5) of the National Archive and Public Records Act (2015 Revision)
the Disposal Authorities for the Passport and Corporate Services Office and the Portfolio of the
Civil Service;
g) Approved the issuance of drafting instructions to facilitate the continuation of the amendment and
creation of agricultural legislation;
h) Approved pursuant to sections 3 and 5 of the Road Act (2005 Revision) for the Declaration of
Cerin Court and part of Fairlawn Road as public roads; and
i) Noted the Tax Exemption Statistics for May and June 2025.
