Exciting New Octave Releases

From Jessica Carson, Director of Octave Record

We are already over halfway through January, and a whole lot just happened at Octave Records that I want to share with you!

I am excited that we just released my new album, Pinnacle by Clandestine Amigo. Of all the music I’ve ever written and recorded, I am most proud of this album. I hope you will give it a listen!

I am equally excited to have been working on a new series with Paul as engineer and myself as producer. This series, The Art of HiFi, is a must-have for anyone who loves high-end audio. We just released our first project in this series: Bass. Paul announced it a few days ago in one of his posts, and we’ve nearly sold out of the first batch.

The last thing I want to mention is our newest vinyl release from our Audiophile Masters Series. Volume IV is hot off the press and ready to nestle into the collection.

If your New Year’s resolution has anything to do with dialing in your system and listening to more music, Octave Records and PS Audio are ready to help!

CLANDESTINE AMIGO

“I couldn’t stop listening!”

Pinnacle is a gorgeous album composed by the brilliant songwriter Jessica Carson. With this third Clandestine Amigo release, fresh new upbeat melodies are performed by some of the finest musicians in the Colorado music scene, including Bradley Morse from the Gasoline Lollipops, trumpeter Gabriel Mervine, keyboardist Tom Amend, and guitar/pedal steel player Eben Grace of Grace Design. Captivating melodies beautifully sculpted into some of the best music available masterfully recorded and mixed in pure DSD by Jay Elliott, this limited edition masterpiece is a must have.

The Recording

The recording was brilliantly captured in pure DSD by Octave Records’ engineer, Jay Elliott at Animal Lane Studios in Lyons, Colorado. The tracks were later mixed at Octave Records’ studio in Boulder, Colorado on a 32 track Studer (formerly owned by Neil Young) by Jay Elliott and mastered on the Sonoma DSD workstation.
