New cases of acute severe hepatitis in children: what we know so far

From 23 to 30 April 2022, PAHO, together with the countries and territories of the Americas, celebrated the 20th annual Vaccination Week in the Americas and the 11th World Immunization Week under the call to action “Are you fully vaccinated? Get all your shots.”

COVID-19 Response in the Americas

Two-thirds of people in Latin America and the Caribbean now vaccinated against COVID-19

14 countries and territories of the region have already reached the WHO goal of vaccinating 70% of their populations ahead of the June 30th target, and a further eight countries have reached over 60% coverage.

The Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) works with the countries of the Americas to improve the health and quality of life of its population. Founded in 1902, it is the world’s oldest international public health agency. It serves as the Regional Office of WHO for the Americas and is the specialized health agency of the Inter-American system.
