Strong east to northeasterly winds and rough seas are expected across the Cayman area today as a high pressure system builds over the southeast US. Isolated showers are also expected as a stationary front lingers across central Cuba and the Yucatan Channel. Radar images show scattered showers in and around the Cayman area moving towards the southwest.
