Get ready for Cayman’s landmark STEM event at UCCI!

Engaging and Interactive Teaching and Learning

The STEM Carib Conference, Cayman’s landmark Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics Conference hosted by the University College of the Cayman Islands (UCCI) is slated for October 9-12, 2018.

Presented in partnership with Harrisburg University, a leading STEM institution in the United States, STEM Carib 2018, will take attendees on a journey of discoveries, inventions, and techniques through inspiring, interactive sessions led by over 20 STEM experts, 15 of which will be flying from North America and the Caribbean.

Participants can take part in more than 40 sessions on topics such as Esports, Tech Design, Advanced Manufacturing, Cybersecurity, Biotechnology, Marine Biology, Food Science, Astronomy and Engineering. Families will surely enjoy the exhibits and demonstrations catering to younger children.

On Tuesday, October 9 at 5:30 pm, the conference will open with a reception featuring a keynote presentation on The Real Life Science of Hollywood Movies by Adam Weiner, Author, Public Speaker and Physics Teacher. Entrepreneur and Fashion Tech Community Catalyst Lisa Morales-Hellebo will be speaking about Fashion Tech and Startup Ecosystems. Dr. Ray Ann Havasy, Founder and Director of the Center for Science Teaching and Learning will be working with teachers on STEM-focused classrooms and will close the conference with a keynote on STEM for All Kids.
