Voices from Venezuela: Understanding the crisis

Miami, June 29, 2017—Venezuela faces a profound humanitarian crisis. Public protests have escalated over recent months as international human rights organizations condemn widespread government crackdown on political opponents and violations to freedom of speech. The spillover risks of a large-scale humanitarian crisis are an increasing regional concern.

Join Americas Society/Council of the Americas on Thursday, July 13 for an important forum with Venezuelan civil society leaders who will provide a domestic perspective to better understand the ongoing crisis and the humanitarian situation on the ground. This program will be conducted in Spanish with simultaneous translation to English. Prior registration is required.
