Cayman Islands: A tasty Christmas present

Taste of Cayman has opened a pop-up ticket shop at Camana Bay, which will run every Wednesday from now until Christmas to cater to Cayman residents and visitors doing their Christmas shopping.

Cayman is a nation of food-lovers and Taste of Cayman tickets are certainly something I’m sure many would enjoy finding under the tree this Christmas,” Tiffany Dixon-Ebanks, Executive Director of the Cayman Islands Tourism Association (CITA) said.

“Taste of Cayman tickets are the perfect present for children and adults alike.  There is something at the festival to suit everyone’s tastes and the event makes for a wonderful day out with friends or family. Our upcoming festival will be bigger and tastier than before, with many new, exciting elements, including kid’s activities and an exclusive VIP area.”

Taste of Cayman is CITA’s biggest annual fundraiser and is one of the largest and longest running events on the island. The festival dishes out Cayman’s best cuisine and delicious drinks from many of the top restaurants and bars, as well as providing live entertainment, immersive experiences and traditional culinary competitions, including the Heavy Cake and Mixology Competitions.

2017’s largest culinary celebration will take place on Saturday, 28 January, 2017 at the Festival Green, Camana Bay from 5.00pm until 11.45pm. Each ticket includes 12 food and drink tickets to spend at the festival itself.

As well at the Taste Ticket pop-up shop, Taste of Cayman Food and Drink Festival tickets are available to purchase online at tasteofcayman.org/tickets. Tickets are also available in stores at Funky Tangs, Tower, Bon Vivant and all Digicel retail outlets and can be purchased at these locations during regular business hours.

General admission tickets cost $40 and will be $50 at the gate. A child ticket (5-13 years) costs $20 and VIP tickets are $150, allowing access to the exclusive Hospitality Lounge, welcome drinks and canapés, a private cash bar, express entrance into the festival and 25 food and drink tickets.

Committed sponsors this year include, Camana Bay, Hurley’s Media, Digicel, Tower, Massive and Hew’s among others.

Vendor, sponsorship and volunteer opportunities are still available for the event. Visit our website here (tasteofcayman.org) for further details, or get in touch on +1(345) 623 6700 / [email protected]

Taste of Cayman Food & Drink Festival 2017:

Taste of Cayman began in the late 80’s, when a small number of restaurants from the Cayman Islands Restaurant Association met in a field to compete in a Chili Cook Off. The event has now grown into what it is today, with thousands of festival goers and over 45 restaurants, bars and vendors participating in the island’s largest foodie gathering. 2017’s Taste of Cayman Food & Drink Festival will be the 29th annual festival and includes new features such as the VIP area.
