IMPT to offer AAT qualification in Cayman Islands

logoAccounting qualifications from international body AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians) are set to be offered by Innovative Management & Professional Training (IMPT), based in Grand Cayman.
IMPT, who will be making AAT’s accounting and bookkeeping qualifications available, are introducing AAT as another option alongside the Foundations in Accountancy (FIA) qualification.
Yvette Myles, manager of Innovative Management & Professional Training says “We decided to start offering AAT’s qualifications because we feel it is the standard that is best to give our entry level students the skills they need for the financial market, and it nicely complements our offerings from the ACCA.”
AAT, headquartered in the UK, is a member of the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC) and can provide Caymanians and residents with qualifications that meet global standards, supporting them into successful careers in finance. The qualifications educate students to accounting technician level and are well suited for beginners who want a stand-alone accounting qualification, or want to start on the road to chartered accountancy.
Justin Kyriakou, AAT’s Global Development Manager said: “Financial management is at the heart of every business, so demand for people with accounting and finance qualifications stays consistently high in the jobs market. This means that our students are able to use our qualifications to build successful careers.
“AAT qualifications give students practical financial knowledge that can be used straight away to manage finances and budgets, and play a key role in helping businesses grow. We’re pleased to be working with students in the Cayman Islands, and to be working with IMPT.”
AAT is a leader in the finance and accountancy industry, providing practical workplace qualifications for finance staff across the world. It awards around 90 per cent of all vocational qualifications in accounting, and is sponsored by professional accounting bodies such as the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy, the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland.
