A man, age 34, of George Town, has been charged with Attempted Murder, Grievous Bodily Harm with Intent, and Possession of an Unlicensed Firearm in connection with the shooting that occurred near Grescott Lane on 7 August. He will be in court this morning.

Subject: Police Investigate Shooting In George Town

 About 3:25 AM on Sunday 7 August 2016 the police received a report of a male with gunshot wounds in the Grescott Lane area of George Town. The victim was transported to the George Town Hospital before the police arrived on the scene and is being treated for what appears to be gunshot wounds.

 The police are still on the scene of the shooting and investigations continue.

 The police is appealing to witnesses to get in touch with the CID at George Town Police Station at 949 4222.
