Orlando, Florida may be considered the Theme Park Capital of the World, but the destination will soon be known as Margaritaville to Parrotheads.

This week, Margaritaville Resort Orlando revealed the first renderings of the $750 million resort.

The project still has a long way to go with construction just recently getting underway, but the first phase of the destination resort is scheduled to open by the end of 2017.

Upon completion, highlights of the massive resort will include a 175-room hotel, 1,000 Margaritaville-themed vacation homes, 300 timeshare units, 30,000 square-feet of function space, 200,000 square feet of retail space, a dining and entertainment district, a 12-acre water park and a wellness center.

The resort will also boast several miles of fitness trails and a water taxi system.

However the resort’s three-acre swimmable freshwater lagoon will truly set it apart from any other accommodation.

While travelers will have to wait some time before they can experience the lagoon and other amenities, Margaritaville Resort Orlando plans to reveal additional details regarding the property in the coming weeks.

The company’s sales center will also open in the coming days.
