DSC_0587-300x199By Rohan From Seventh-Day Adventist Church Cayman Islands Conference

It was a Spirit-filled, energy charged service as Pastor Vaughn Henry was ordained as a Minister of the Gospel. The service was presided over by Pastor Leon Wellington, Vice-President, Inter-America Division of Seventh-day Adventist, Dr Leonard Johnson, President, Atlantic Caribbean Union Mission and Pastor Shian O’Connor, President, Cayman Islands Conference of Seventh-day Adventist.

Preceding the ordination exercise Dr. Johnson delivered a power-packed sermon which had the audience talking far into the night. Pastor Henry was accompanied on stage by his wife beautifully clad in white. After the ceremony a large entourage of pastors from Bahamas, Cayman Islands and Turks and Caicos, were on hand to welcome the newly ordained pastor and offer him their kind wishes.

Mrs Denise Johnson, wife of the Union President Dr. Leonard Johnson then welcomed Sister Henry to the fraternity of pastors’ wives and pinned he accordingly. The entire group of pastors’ wives then joined her on stage to offer their best wishes and also to join in a wonderful group song.

Pastor Henry in his response recounted how God has lead him and showered his gratitude on those who assisted him on his journey. His emotions however were unrestrained when he mentioned his parents and the great role they have played in his life.
