HBO’S October Features in the Caribbean

MIAMI, FL – September 28 2015 – HBO brings an exciting month of content this October with the premiere of the second season of the enigmatic HBO original series, The Leftovers, a comedy special featuring Emmy® winner Amy Schumer and an electrifying lineup of Hollywood’s hit movies.

The second season of the hit HBO original drama series, The Leftovers, premieres Sunday, October 4th at 21hrs AST* in the Caribbean, simultaneously with the United States. The new season takes place in the city of Jarden, Texas, and goes beyond the concept of “The Departed,” exploring how ordinary people react to inexplicable events. Created by Damon Lindelof, Emmy® Award winner for the hit series Lost, and Tom Perrotta, Oscar® nominee for Little Children and Election, the series returns with Justin Theroux, Carrie Coon, Liv Tyler, Christopher Eccleston and Amy Brenneman, among others.

HBO COMEDY SPECIAL: LIVE AT THE APOLLO

Amy Schumer: Live At The Apollo (Saturday, October 17th at 21hrs AST*) features the Emmy® winning comedienne in her first HBO stand up special before a live audience in New York’s famous Apollo Theater. Directed by Chris Rock, Schumer keeps the crowd laughing with her hilarious, unapologetic humor about her experiences in her work and personal life.

HOLLYWOOD MOVIE PREMIERES

Starring Chris Pratt and Zoe Saldana, Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy (Saturday, October 24 at 21hrs AST*) follows daredevil space adventurer Peter Quill. When he realizes he has become the target of relentless bounty hunters after stealing an orb coveted by the powerful villain, Ronan, Peter is forced into an uneasy alliance with four mistfits who rally together to save the universe. Directed by James Gunn, the film also stars Bradley Cooper, Vin Diesel and Dave Bautista.

Horror comedy film, A Haunted House 2 (Saturday, October 31st at 21hrs AST*) follows Malcolm, who has decided to start fresh after the ordeal he suffered when his former girlfriend was possessed by a demon. However, when he moves to his dream home with his new girlfriend and her two children, Malcolm is once again surrounded by strange paranormal events, a demon has attached himself to Malcolm and does not want to let go. Directed by Michael Tiddes, the film stars Marlon Wayans, Jaime Pressly, Essence Atkins and Gabriel Iglesias, among others.

Bennett Miller directs Foxcatcher (Saturday, October 3 at 21hrs AST*), the true crime drama revolving around 1984 Olympic gold medalist, wrestler Mark Schultz. When the famous athlete receives a proposal from billionaire John du Pont to create a wrestling team for the 1988 Olympic Games in Seoul, Mark sees a way to step out of the shadow of his charismatic brother, Dave. As du Pont begins to lead Mark into a dark road, bringing Dave into the fold, the three propel toward an unforeseen tragedy. The film includes unforgettable performances by Steve Carell, Channing Tatum and Mark Ruffalo.

Brad Pitt is Army sergeant Don “Wardaddy” Collier in the World War II action film, Fury (Saturday, October 3rd at 21hrs AST*). As Wardaddy and his brigade of American soldiers are hopelessly outnumbered, the men face overwhelming odds as they move to strike the heart of Nazi Germany. Directed by David Ayer, the film also stars Shia LaBeouf, Logan Lerman, Michael Peña, Jon Bernthal and Scott Eastwood, among others.

MONTH OF TERROR ON HBO PLUS

October is the Month of Terror on HBO Plus! The channel celebrates Halloween with a marathon of the most terrifying horror films each Saturday night at 18hrs AST*. The celebration begins October 10th with the premiere of Silent Hill, Mutant World, Poltergeist and more.

The Month of Terror concludes on Halloween, October 31st at 17hrs AST* with a marathon of the second season of Penny Dreadful.
