AAAmerican Airlines have announced a new flight to Grand Cayman on Saturdays from Dallas Fort Worth and returning the same day.

American Airlines Customers Gain More Access To Mexico, The Caribbean And Latin America With Six New Routes

FORT WORTH, Texas, Jan. 29, 2015 /PRNewswire/ — American Airlines will add six new routes throughout Mexico, the Caribbean and Latin America, further strengthening its position in these key markets. New service to Barranquilla, Colombia (BAQ), will add a new destination to the airline’s global network and customers will have increased options when traveling throughout the region. Expanded service includes new flights to Belize City, Belize (BZE); Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands (GCM); Guadalajara, Mexico (GDL); Managua, Nicaragua (MGA); and Monterrey, Mexico (MTY).

Customers may begin booking flights for these new routes this Saturday, Jan. 31

“As we celebrate our 25th anniversary in Colombia we are very excited to provide customers with new service to Barranquilla, a favorite destination for tourists and business travelers alike,” said Art Torno, senior vice president – Mexico, Caribbean and Latin America. “This new destination in Colombia and five new routes reinforce American’s commitment to serving Latin America and the Caribbean, providing customers more access to the region than any other U.S. airline.”

Customers traveling from these destinations will have the ability to connect to nearly 200 destinations worldwide through American’s extensive networks out of Dallas/Fort Worth, Miami and Los Angeles. With these new routes, American will operate more than 1,750 weekly flights to 85 destinations throughout Mexico, the Caribbean and Latin America. American added two new destinations to Latin America and the Caribbean in 2014, with new service between Miami and Cap-Haitien, Haiti (CAP), and service from both New York’s John F. Kennedy Airport and Miami to Campinas, Brazil (VCP).

American is taking delivery of more than 100 new aircraft this year, giving it the youngest fleet of any U.S.-based network carrier. Orders include the Airbus A320 and A320neo family, A350-900s, Boeing 737 MAX, 777-300ERs and 787s, which will make American’s fleet even younger, more modern and fuel efficient.
