A new trend has developed regarding female patient preferences by the time they have to select the gender of their ObGyn. This trend indicates that women between the ages of 18-28, pre childbirth, are gravitating more towards a female ObGyn. Studies have also shown this new age progression is due to a mutual understanding of their current needs and a large increase in comfort. “Obstetrics and gynecology deal with the most  personal and private parts  of the female body,  it is important to find a specialist that you feel comfortable with. About Guillermo Lievano, DO

Dr. Guillermo Lievano, DO is Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and is on the National Board of Osteopathic Medical Examiners. Dr. Lievano received his Bachelor’s Degree in Biology and Chemistry from Barry University in Miami Shores, FL and his Medical Degree from Des Moines University Osteopathic Medical Center, IA. He accomplished a traditional Osteopathic Rotating Internship at Palmetto General Hospital (Nova Southeastern University) in Hialeah, FL and completed two residencies in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at both Sinai Hospital of Baltimore, MD and at University of Miami Jackson Memorial Hospital, FL. Following his residency Dr. Lievano practiced at prestigious South Florida women’s healthcare centers including the All Women’s Healthcare of South Florida and Women’s Personal Physicians LLC, where he was partner.

About Ileana Perez, MD

Ileana Perez, MD, is renowned obstetrician and gynecologist. Dr. Perez graduated from Florida International University with a Bachelors of Biological Sciences and received her medical degree from the University of Miami, School of Medicine. She completed her obstetrics and gynecology residency at Jackson Memorial Hospital/ University of Miami and is Board Certified and has her medical license in Florida.

Dr. Perez completed a National Medical Fellowship, the “Arthur Ashe” Research Fellowship in AIDS Care at Harvard School of Public Health, in Boston, MA, in 1999. She is currently Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, is member of the Florida Obstetrics and Gynecological Society, the Miami Obstetrical and Gynecological Society and board member of the William A. Little ObGyn Alumni Society.

Dr. Ileana Perez has published multiple abstracts and peer-reviewed articles. During her studies at Florida International University, she was Faculty Scholar and was in the Honors Program. In 1994 she achieved the “Georgia Alliance for Minority Participation Scholarship” granted on behalf of the National Science Foundation in Florida. Dr. Ileana Perez was also honored with the “Best Presentation Award” from the William A. Little ObGyn Society, in 2002.
