SYNOPSIS

Moisture lingering across the northwest Caribbean alongside an approaching tropical wave and trough south of Cuba will continue to bring the chance for some showers at times tonight. From Friday, southwesterly winds are expected as an area of low-pressure develops southwest of Florida and lifts across the northeast United States this weekend. Some isolated showers remain possible during this period as trailing moisture along a shearline lingers northwest of the Cayman area.
