SYNOPSIS

An upper-level trough located just west of Jamaica will continue to weaken before lifting northeast tonight. This trough, along with Melissa’s close proximity may continue to support some showers at times throughout today. Fresh to locally strong winds with frequent gusts are expected to persist through the next few days as Melissa continues to approach Jamaica, tightening the pressure gradient over the northwest Caribbean.
