My fellow Caymanians, residents, and friends,
As the clock strikes midnight and we embrace the dawn of a New Year, 2026, I warmly convey best wishes to you and your families for a year filled with prosperity, peace and good health.
May this 2026 be marked by new opportunities and even greater achievements for our beloved Islands.
Let the community spirit – the warmth and unity that defines us – remain as the bedrock of our society, shining brightly in every district.
We of course don’t know for certain what the next 365 days will bring for the 345.
But we do know that with faith and purpose, we’ll celebrate triumphs and overcome challenges. We’ll be a people whose children and whose children’s children, will see us standing strong, as examples of what kindness, patience, love and resilience looks like.
Behold, in 2026, all things can become new – for me, for you, and for our country.
The future of the Cayman Islands is not a matter of chance; it is a matter of choice. Let us choose faith over doubt, let us choose innovation over stagnation, and let us choose to work together (all leaning in) to make 2026 the best year yet for the Cayman Island.
