“Worth going to The Cayman Islands just for THIS Ritz-Carlton experience alone.”

ritz-carlton-grand-cayman5 of 5 stars review on Trip Advisor

I don’t know where to begin. But here goes:

We have stayed at numerous Marriott / Ritz-Carlton properties over the past several years. This property by far blows them all away. Period.

Our experience began with a friendly phone call directly with the property. Here, I happened to speak with Cora. She was courteous, friendly, and genuinely inviting – meaning not just mechanical with her answers. Shortly after, we booked with the Ritz.

Upon arrival, we were greeted by an extremely friendly staff, beginning at the valet (Emilio, Florin, Claver), then the front desk (Anahita), and finally the bellman (Mani) who delivered our baggage with a smile. In fact, all the staff at the Ritz were full of smiles, and extremely accommodating, especially after a long flight there. We were offered tropical refreshments and cookies at the lobby as well – one being a delicious rum punch.

Later that very same day, we booked an unforgettable trip with their activities desk for a trip to see Stingray City. Again, the loverly agent who booked our trip was extremely friendly and answered all the questions we had (which I am sure she was asked a hundred times that day by others) – all with her gentle smile and patience. Sorry to have forgotten this lovely young lady’s name from South Africa. This trip, booked directly with the Ritz, turned out to be awesome. It was semi-private (only with a small group), and the boat crew was professional, courteous, and extremely friendly. Again, I am sorry I cannot remember their names. However, they deserve a mention on this review. The price too was very reasonable, considering the type of trip it was – with lots of one on one time with the stingrays.

Then the next person whom we had the pleasure of meeting was Kamaniya. She is the Guest Services Manager at the Ritz. Believe me, they do not make them any better than Kamaniya. Honestly, I was in disbelief of how nice, friendly, kind, loving, charismatic, and accommodating Kamaniya was. She truly embodies all the “WOW” that this particular Ritz Carlton is, and what this brand represents for Marriott. I will probably embarrass her if I go on and on about her customer service and friendliness. We absolutely loved her and her staff.

Then I must mention all the fabulous staff at the Silver Palm, Bar Jack, and Taikun Restaurants – including Tania, Tyrone, Bong, and a bunch more whom I wished I had remembered their names. They were all AWESOME!!

Last but not least, the housekeeping staff too deserve a worthy praise – paying attention to every cleaning detail and room needs (water, toiletries, etc). Thank you Yvonne and all your wonderful staff.

In summation, if you took the beautiful Cayman Islands out of the picture, this Ritz itself can make your vacation with its amenities and its staff……………..ESPECIALLY IT’S STAFF!! We are already planning our return. Let this be a fair warning to our new friends there 😉

Stayed July 2014, traveled with family
