Food vendors sought for Cayman Islands Heroes Day 2015

Cartoon_Hot_Dog_Vendor_Royalty_Free_Clipart_Picture_090614-174086-314048National Heroes Day 2015 organisers are seeking vendors from across the Islands to provide samples of Caymanian food items at the ceremony in Heroes Square, George Town, on Monday, 26 January 2015.

Interested vendors have until Friday, 19 December 2014, to submit a proposal along with a completed menu form to the Protocol Office, at email [email protected], or by delivery to the Government Administration Building. Vendors can provide quotes on any menu item.

Copies of the menu form can obtained from the first floor of the Government Administration Building.

National Heroes Day 2015

  1. About this Request for Proposal

1.1. This Request for Proposal (RFP) is issued by the Protocol Office under the Cabinet Office of the Cayman Islands Government.

1.2. The purpose of this Request for Proposal is to procure food vendors to supply Caymanian food-sample items based on 500 people, on a fee for service basis, primarily for benefit of the attendees at the National Heroes Day Ceremony to take place on holiday Monday, 26 January, 2015.

1.3. The issuance of RFP does not constitute a commitment to award a contract, or pay any costs incurred in preparation of a response to this RFP.

  1. Instruction to Bidders

2.1       Responses to this RFP shall be submitted by hand or courier to:

2.2       Submission should be received no later than 12:00pm, Friday, 19th December, 2014.

2.3       Late applications received after the deadline will not be evaluated and will be returned to the applicant.

2.4       The Cayman Islands Government is under no obligation to accept any Request for Proposal applications.

2.5       The Cayman Islands Government can cancel the Request for Proposal process and/or reject any or all application at any time.

2.6       In addition, the terms and conditions of this RFP must be complied with.

 

  1. Information to Bidders

3.1       It is expected that a final decision will be issued no later than Friday, 3 January 2015.

3.2       The successful suppliers will enter into a contractual agreement for delivery of products and services on National Heroes Day 2015.

3.3       Successful bidders will need to supply a copy of current Food Safety handling certification.

3.4       The National Heroes Day Ceremony is on Monday, 26 January 2015, starting at 9:00am.

3.5       Set-up location is at the George Town Library Car Park; entrance from Mary Street. Be in place by 10:00am, ready to serve at 11:00am until 2:00pm.

3.6       Successful bidders will be assigned tent space and a 6 ft. table complete with table cloth and décor.

3.6       Successful bidders will be expected to supply cutlery, serving tools, napkins, etc.

3.7       Any large equipment such as BBQ, coolers, warmers etc. has to be in place by 6:00am on the day of event.
