Ericsson CIPO Christina Petersson joins the stellar speaking faculty for IPBC Global 2019

Christina Petersson, who became Chief IP Officer at Ericsson last month, is the latest big-name speaker to confirm for IPBC Global 2019, which is being held at the Westin Boston Waterfront from 16 to 18 June.

Her appearance at IPBC Global will be one of the first opportunities for patent owners and their advisers to hear her speak directly about Ericsson’s priorities and views on IP in the 5G era; licensing across new industries; and how Ericsson fits into the developing landscape!

“My long experience with licensing negotiations means I’ve been very close to our customers and I will continue to prioritise that.”

Speaking exclusively with IAM in her first interview since replacing Gustav Brismark, Ms Petersson made clear that continuity and adaptability are her priorities as she guides the company’s licensing operation towards the advent of the 5G era. Like Brismark, she will oversee an IP operation that in some years has generated more than $1 billion in royalties for the company.

Of course, IPR is important to the success of Ericsson. The chance to get a fair return on the investments we have made in R&D is crucial for us.”

Petersson will be joining a world-class line-up of influential IP leaders at IPBC Global, including representatives from:

Amadeus, Atlassian, Axcella, Barclays, Battelle, Boston Scientific, Chalmers University of Technology, Columbia University, Dolby Laboratories, Ericsson, Facebook, FortressInvestment Group, GE Licensing & Technology Ventures, Google, Harvard University,Hewlett Packard Enterprise, HP Inc, Johnson & Johnson, JUUL Labs Inc, Mastercard, Microsoft, NantWorks, Nokia & Nokia Technologies, NXP Semiconductors, Ocado Group plc, Operem, Orange, PayPal, Royal Philips, Tambourine Innovation Ventures, TD Ameritrade, TD Bank, Thermo Fisher Scientific, Uber, Uber Technologies Inc,Univercells, University of New Hampshire, Volvo Cars Corporation, Western Digital,Xiaomi Technology, Xinova, Yale University and many more!
