HAVANA, Cuba, Oct 30 (ACN) If the United States lifts the unjust economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed on Cuba, we will be able to flood that market with millions of boxes of our products, said Juan Gonzalez, president of Cuba Ron Corporation and Havana Club International.

In statements to the ACN, the executive emphasized that the workers of the rum companies of the Island will continue immersed in the fulfillment of their plans, with all efficiency, especially when at world level the prestige of this product is high.

Gonzalez said that the American consumers are losing the enjoyment of Cuban rum, as well as the prestigious tobacco of the Island and species of the sea, among many other lines.

The blockade, he said, in particular causes additional costs to see us forced to always have in reserve a plus of boxes.

Both Cuba Ron and Havana Club Internacional exhibit their main lines at the XXXVI International Havana Fair (FIHAV 2018), in Expocuba fairgrounds, and according to Gonzalez, it was very stimulating to visit both stands today Miguel Diaz-Canel, President of the Councils of State and Ministers, in his tour of the national pavilion, interested in learning about the potential of these items in foreign trade.

His presence among us became a greater commitment, and reminded us of the visit made in 1963 by Commander in Chief Fidel Castro to the old Bacardi factory, and in 1971 to Santa Cruz del Norte, where he announced that the largest rum factory in the country would be built there, as it happened, which still continues to be the most productive, he said.

The executive said that despite the tense plan for 2018, and that the markets are very competitive, they will close the year with a slight over fulfillment of productions, without forgetting that at the same time they must take advantage of all opportunities in terms of exports, for which FIHAV is an ideal space.
