Crikey Moses was a cracking musical treat

IMG_1654On Saturday (3) the kids of St George’s Anglican Church performed “Crikey Moses”, a children’s musical that tells the Biblical story of Moses in a fun way with rocky songs that entertained the audience for around 45 minutes.

It was a very entertaining time and it was nice to see a reasonable sized audience at St George’s that was very appreciative of the talented children who obviously enjoyed taking part.

Fran McConvey was the director and musical accompanist and there were many others who helped. The

costumes were excellent and even the very youngest members took part when the plague scene was acted out. They rushed forward waving all the models of the many insects that invaded Egypt due to Pharaoh’s stubbornness. There was even a ‘burning’ bush.

It was a valuable lesson for everyone and a whole load of fun.

I hope it is repeated and then everyone should come out and see it. Highly recommended.

The Songs

Pharaoh! (What I Say Gets Done…)

Who’s That Crying?

Holy Moses! (I Am Who I Am)

Gnats, Gnats, Everywhere! (Even In Your Underwear!)

Lord Have Mercy

Crikey, Moses!

Love Your God!

Crikey, Moses! (Finale)
