U.S. U-20 Women’s National Team Plays Costa Rica, Jamaica and Guatemala in Group Stage of CONCACAF Women’s U-20 Championship

CHICAGO (Jan. 7, 2014) – The CONCACAF Women’s Under-20 Championship kicks off on Thursday, January 9 in the Cayman Islands as eight countries battle for the three qualification spots for the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup, which will be held in August in Canada. FOX Soccer Plus, the premium television network dedicated to delivering the world’s best soccer and international sports, offers viewers all the action of the U.S. Under-20 Women’s National Team through the group stages, as well as exclusive coverage of the semifinals, third-place match and championship game. FOX Soccer 2GO, the digital platform for computers, tablets and smartphones, streams the seven matches live, as well as on-demand on foxsoccer2go.com.

The tournament is divided into two groups of four teams with the top two finishers in each group crossing over for the all-important semifinals. The winners of the semifinal matches, and the winner of the third place match, will earn the CONCACAF region’s berths to the U-20 Women’s World Cup.

FOX Sports’ Mark Rogondino, who has called soccer matches for the Barclays Premier League, Major League Soccer and Women’s Professional Soccer, and Jenn Hildreth, former voice of the WPS Sunday on FOX Soccer Channel, provide play-by-play for the three group stage matches. Former college soccer player Kyndra de St. Aubin and former U.S. Women’s National Team midfielder Leslie Osborne join as color commentators. Seasoned soccer announcer JP Dellacamera calls the four remaining matches including the semifinals, third-place match and final alongside retired USWNT players Angela Hucles, Danielle Slaton, Shannon MacMillan and Cat Whitehill.
