Concacaf officially opens new headquarters in downtown Miami

Mayor of the City of Miami honors Confederation President with Key to the City
Miami (Thursday, November 15  2018) – The Confederation of North, Central America and Caribbean Association Football (Concacaf) officially opened its new headquarters in downtown Miami on Wednesday, November 14.

The new office, located at the 3 MiamiCentral building, 161 NW 6th Street, was showcased during a grand opening ribbon cutting ceremony which featured the Mayor of the City of Miami, Francis Suarez, FIFA President Gianni Infantino, Concacaf President Victor Montagliani and General Secretary Philippe Moggio, as well as Concacaf Member Association presidents, key Concacaf partners and stakeholders across the national and international football community.

“The opening of our new headquarters in Miami, Florida is quite significant for our Concacaf family, not only for the support it provides to our 41 Member Associations, but what is also important, it is the evidence of how Concacaf is moving forward,” said Concacaf President Victor Montagliani. “It underpins the great work we are doing across the Confederation and the journey that we have taken to grow football in this city and across the region.”

“The City of Miami has established itself as a world-class global destination, as evidenced by the arrival of international organizations like Concacaf,” said Miami Mayor Francis Suarez. “Concacaf’s mission to unite diverse cultures over the game of football aligns with Miami’s position as a uniquely diverse and multicultural city.”

“As Concacaf continues evolving, we have decided to take a significant step forward by moving our headquarters to the heart of Miami,” said Concacaf General Secretary Philippe Moggio. “This new office represents who we are, football, unity, quality and access.”

The office offers Concacaf Member Associations and key stakeholders a more centralized location, easier access to a major transit hub as well as other resources to support the organization’s growth and drive efficient business operations.

The headquarters houses over 50 employees, including the General Secretariat, Football, Commercial, Finance and Administration, and Legal and Compliance divisions.
