Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands, November 24, 2016 – This holiday season, treat food-loving family and friends to the gift of Cayman with tickets to the most coveted gastronomic event of the year, Cayman Cookout, taking place January 12-15, 2017, in the Cayman Islands. Born by esteemed Chef Eric Ripert nine years ago and hosted by the Cayman Islands Department of Tourism (CIDOT), The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman and Time Inc.’s Food & Wine Magazine, the event pays homage to the Cayman Islands’ superlative food and drink scene, which draws foodies and gourmands to its shores all year long. Featuring four days of unforgettable culinary demonstrations, gourmet tastings, intimate dinners and more, complete with an impressive roster of celebrity chefs, Cayman Cookout is a culinary traveller’s dream vacation and the perfect stocking stuffer.

Led by Chef Ripert alongside special guests Anthony Bourdain and Chef José Andrés, this year’s event welcomes a number of established newcomers from the culinary world, including Emeril Lagasse, Christina Tosi, Terrance Brennan, Daniel Humm, Tim Love and Roland Passot, along with famed mixologists Charles Joly and Bob Peters. Visitors can join these A-list chefs and participate in memorable interactive events from unique mixology classes to VIP excursions, all amid the stunning natural backdrop of Seven Mile Beach.

New for 2017, “Essential BAM!!! With Emeril Lagasse” will showcase Chef Lagasse’s Creole and Cajun cuisine during an exciting cooking demonstration, while “Dom Pérignon on the Green” is a friendly competition of golf at The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman Golf Club, where golfers will compete for a magnum of Dom Pérignon Champagne.

Other staple events returning this year include “The Adventures of Eric & Tony,” a cooking demonstration led by Chef Ripert and Bourdain along with the “Bon Vivant Cook-off Brunch,” a Sunday soiree featuring a local chef competition judged by headliners Ripert, Bourdain, Andrés and Lagasse.
