Cayman: Two men charged in Anti-Corruption Commission Investigation

In a short statement, the Anti-Corruption Commission announced two men had been charged on September 12th and 13th.   

57 year old Nick Smith, a public official from George town, is charged with one Count of Breach of Trust contrary to s.13 of the Anti-Corruption Law (2016 Revision); and two counts of False Accounting, contrary to s.255(1)(b) of the Penal Code (2017 Revision).   

41 year-old Dominc Dacres, a public official from Spotts, is charged with one count of Obtaining a Pecuniary Advantage by Deception contrary to s.248(c) of the Penal Code (2017 Revision). 

The ACC says both men have been bailed to appear in Summary Court on September 24th and as the matter is now before the Courts, no further comment will be made at this time
