Around 8:45AM this morning, 10 November, officers and EMS responded to a call regarding an unresponsive diver who had been diving with Tortuga Divers off East End. A woman, age 54, visiting from Canada, surfaced and indicated difficulties to the boat crew after the dive began; when she was brought back on board the boat she was unconscious. CPR was administered on the boat until a medic unit arrived.

The woman was taken to George Town Hospital where she was pronounced dead at 10:48AM.

The RCIPS Marine Unit is investigating this incident.
